After finding this interview with American artist Caleb Charland, we are in love with his surreal and educational photo projects.

Using the lessons he used in the school science lab Charland shows us that energy is all around us by connecting wires to fruit, trees and other objects from nature to create electricity and attaching them to LEDs.

He then photographs these meticulously pieced together installations with a large format camera, to create a mix of still life and science in a beautiful series of images.
