We first heard rumours of this camera concept at the beginning of last year, but now Polaroid is making it official by releasing specs and an expected launch date.

The Socialmatic allows photographers to take digital shots and share them instantly on the social media site, and/or print their shots instantly.

The exciting new concept is due to drop in September/October this year. When it does arrive, the camera will sport a 14-megapixel sensor in the front, 2-megapixel on the back, 4.5-inch touch screen LCD, built-in WiFi, 4GB built-in storage with microSD expandability, the ability to print on Polaroid’s ZINK (zero ink) paper, and Android running the whole thing.
