This amazing story has been doing the rounds on the internet this week. In 2007, American Lindsay Scallan was scuba diving on holiday in Hawaii when she lost her camera and underwater housing. She thought she would never see it again until….

Her Canon Powershot washed up 6,200 miles away on a beach in Taiwan where Douglas Cheng found it. Fortunately, the memory card was still in working order, on them he founds photos of a Scallan on a boat charter in Maui who he managed to contact and eventually track back to Scallan.

Camera and owner have not been reunited but hope to be soon!
