Photography icon Annie Leibovitz has teamed up with whisky distillery The Macallan. Together they are creating labels for a limited edition of single malt whiskies as part of the third Masters of Photography series.
Each of the four single-cask variants will be printed with an image Leibovitz shot of Scottish actor Kevin McKidd. Dubbed “the Library”, “the Bar”, “the Gallery” and “the Skyline”, each variant is aged in a different cask.
Only 1,000 bottles will be made of this run, and each bottle will be accompanied by a print of its associated image. Prices started at $2,750 a bottle earlier this year — and went up to $25,000 for a one-off 1949 Macallan bottles, accompanied by a gallery sized print.
The bottles and prints will finally be available for purchase in October. Check out the Official Site.
