One thing is for sure about the 2012 Olympics…. there will be a lot of photographs taken! But with such a saturation of images how will we know where to find the iconic shots? Well there is one photographer that we recommend you keep an eye out for.
We got very excited this weekend when news came through that World Press photographer David Burnett had been spotted at the Olympics with his large format camera in tow.
Perhaps best known for his candid shot of US runner Mary Decker moments after her fall in the 1984 Olympics. Burnett stands out from the crowd for capturing the less obvious shots – moving away from the press pack and searching for moments that sum up the mood, rather than the big news images.
Check out some of his previous work.
