English artists Heather Ackroyd and Dan Harvey, have developed a technique of using live grass as biological photo paper to blend photography and life in an amazing art project.
The idea started by accident that lead to the duo playing with the idea of manipulating the light that hits grass, and after a year they had started projecting light through an old 35mm Kodak projector onto a swath of grass on the wall. They’ve experimented extensively since then and have now have perfected the process.
The creation of a piece requires 8 months, a large dark room and a 2,500-watt projector that serves as their light source.
Their latest exhibition ‘Face to Face’ is currently on display in the Domaine De Chamarande in France. Visit their Official Site to learn more.
