Sick of the rising prices of exhibition spaces in New York, Brooklyn’s DUMBO Art Centre decided to think inside the box for once when searching for a location.
Last month the Brookyln Bridge Park industrial park played host to a unique exhibition ‘Photoville’. Using more than 30 shipping containers as temporary exhibition spaces.
The event featured photography curated by the Magnum Foundation, Open Society Institute, Photo District News, New York Times, and more. With work including Joao Silva and Magnums Bruce Gilden.
The sprawling, temporary village-like installation also boasted a full schedule of talks and workshops and a giant shipping container-sized walk-in camera obscura.
